What You Will Do:
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation, and leadership to support and enhance our Functional Safety program by:
Acting as the custodian of the Functional Safety Management System at the site.
Developing and updating SOPs, job aids, work instructions, and supporting documentation-leveraging established systems from other company locations.
Supporting Functional Safety Life Cycle activities, including
Participating in HAZOP and LOPA reviews involving safety instrumented systems (SIS) designed to IEC 61508/61511 standards.
Providing guidance on SIS operation, maintenance, and testing best practices.
Conducting verification activities and coordinating periodic Functional Safety Assessments (FSAs) and external audits.
Organizing training programs related to Functional Safety Management.
Providing regular status reports to management.
Supporting other site engineering systems where applicable and as capacity allows.
What Skills You Will Need:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or technical discipline, or a trade/technical qualification with relevant industry experience.
Ideally, 3+ years of experience in a similar or related role (e.g., engineering, calibration, instrumentation), preferably in a GMP-compliant process plant environment.
Experience in managing engineering or maintenance programs.
Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation operation, maintenance, and testing, and a basic understanding of automation systems in a processing environment.
