Morgan McKinley is partnering with a key client in Co. Meath to recruit an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and support the continued success of the business.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an SME company where the warehouse function plays a key role in overall business performance. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a close-knit environment, taking ownership of operations and balancing the day-to-day practical requirements of warehouse management with the need to continually improve processes and efficiencies.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being visible on the warehouse floor, leading by example and working closely with colleagues across the wider business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the operation, rather than being restricted to a purely strategic or administrative management role.
Reporting to senior management, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the effective running of all warehouse activities, ensuring that stock is managed accurately, orders are processed efficiently and customer requirements are consistently met.
As this is a smaller business, the role will require a flexible, practical approach, with the successful candidate taking a hands-on role in daily operations while also developing the warehouse team, maintaining high standards and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and organised operations.
Manage, lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing clear direction and promoting a positive working environment.

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure regular stock checks and cycle counts are completed.
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, delivery issues and operational challenges.
Ensure orders are processed accurately and dispatched within agreed timeframes.
Manage warehouse space, storage locations and stock rotation to maximise efficiency.
Implement and maintain appropriate health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
Monitor warehouse performance, identify areas for improvement and introduce practical solutions to enhance productivity.
Work closely with other departments, including sales, customer service, purchasing and transport, to ensure a smooth flow of goods and information.
Manage warehouse resources effectively, including staffing, equipment and materials.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation and general warehouse presentation.
Support the development of warehouse procedures and introduce greater structure and consistency as the business continues to grow.
Provide hands-on operational support when required and lead by example across all warehouse activities.
The successful candidate will be an experienced warehouse professional who is comfortable operating in a smaller business environment where flexibility, initiative and accountability are essential.
You will be someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and working closely with a team, while ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
Key requirements include:
Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or similar warehouse leadership role.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, goods-in and dispatch processes.
Experience managing, supervising or coordinating warehouse personnel.
Excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail.
A practical, hands-on management style, with the ability to lead from the front.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across a business.
A proactive approach to improving processes, productivity and operational standards.
The flexibility to work across a range of responsibilities within a smaller SME environment.
A strong focus on health and safety, accuracy and customer service.
Experience working within an SME or owner-managed business would be an advantage, as would experience implementing improved warehouse processes or supporting a growing operation.
The opportunity to join an established business in Co. Meath.
A varied, hands-on management role with genuine responsibility and ownership.
The ability to make a visible impact on warehouse performance and operational efficiency.
A close-knit working environment with direct access to senior management.
The opportunity to contribute ideas, improve processes and help shape the future development of the warehouse function.
