    Morgan McKinley is partnering with a Construction company on a Financial Controller position based in Meath. This role will manage the month-end and year-end processes, the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function and the management of the financial and tax compliance processes across the organisation - RCT, PRSI, PAYE, VAT and Corporate Tax.

    The successful candidate will be based on site full time.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement and manage the Finance Strategy
    • Lead and manage the team (finance AR and AP professional)
    • Lead and manage the Financial Operations; ensuring all Finance standards are maintained in line with all legislative requirements, regulations and compliance - RCT, PRSI, PAYE, VAT and Corporate Tax
    • Conduct reconciliations, investigate any discrepancies and resolve any concerns in a timely manner
    • Create and manage monthly/weekly reports - Provide meaningful management information and analysis and recommendations in support of the business operations and to reduce costs
    • Coordinate and oversee the monthly management accounts reporting process including the analysis of related items of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement, budgets and cashflow
    • Manage and improve key control processes to ensure their continued effectiveness in line with best practice
    • Actively lead projects across the finance environment to deliver step change results across the business

    ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

    • ACA, ACCA, FCA or CPA Qualified with a minimum of 5 years PQE
    • Understanding/ prior experience within construction/ engineering industry
    • Experience in RCT returns and VAT Returns
    • Extensive experience in preparing management accounts, budgets and cashflow
    • Strong process improvement skills
    • Strong Technical Accounting skillset
    • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) & Financial Management Systems and Packages
