With a solid market presence and a commitment to quality and innovation, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to play a key role in leading the next phase of the company's growth.

    Role Overview

    As Operations Manager, you will oversee the entire business process, ensuring the company operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with quality and safety standards. Reporting directly to the company directors, you will coordinate cross-functional teams-spanning sales, production, supply chain, quality, engineering, finance, and HR-to align operations with strategic objectives and drive long-term business success.

    Key Responsibilities

    Growth & Strategy

    • Maintain the company's strong market reputation and customer service excellence.
    • Set and achieve key operational and growth targets.
    • Monitor market trends and adapt operational strategy accordingly.
    • Champion a customer-centric approach to expand market share.
    • Contribute to strategic planning and execution for sustained success.

    Production & Operations Management

    • Supervise daily production activities to ensure smooth, efficient workflows.
    • Monitor production schedules and outputs to meet internal and external demands.
    • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

    Financial Management & KPI Monitoring

    • Collaborate with finance on budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
    • Track and analyse KPIs (e.g., productivity, downtime, efficiency).
    • Prepare and present monthly performance reports and accounts to directors.

    People Leadership

    • Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams.
    • Drive employee engagement, training, and performance management.
    • Manage recruitment and workforce planning.

    Safety & Environmental Compliance

    • Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards.

    Supply Chain & Logistics

    • Oversee procurement and timely availability of raw materials.
    • Collaborate with logistics partners to optimise delivery performance and cost-efficiency.

    Quality Assurance & Compliance

    • Ensure product quality meets both customer and regulatory requirements.
    • Drive corrective actions and continuous quality improvements.

    Key Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Third-level degree preferred (business, engineering, operations, or related field).

    Experience

    • Minimum 7 years' experience in operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
    • Proven success in a similar industry or organisation.
    • Demonstrated capability in leading process improvements and scaling operations.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems and operational workflow tools.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
    • Commercial acumen with an understanding of cost control and value delivery.
    • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage both strategic and operational priorities.
    • Knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance standards.
