Dog Groomer

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, passionate and experienced Dog Groomer to join a growing pet grooming business based in Ballysimon, Limerick however this will travel between Clare, Tipperary & Limerick so can be based in all locations. This role will involve travelling to customers' homes to provide professional grooming services for dogs in a mobile grooming unit.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, strong grooming skills and a friendly, professional approach to customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and providing a high-quality service to pets and their owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional dog grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping and styling.

• Handle dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.

• Ensure the comfort, safety and wellbeing of each dog throughout the grooming process.

• Travel to customers' homes as part of a mobile grooming service.

• Communicate professionally with customers regarding their dogs' grooming needs and preferences.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the grooming vehicle and equipment.

• Manage appointments and ensure customers receive a reliable and efficient service.

• Monitor dogs for any signs of discomfort, skin conditions or other concerns and communicate these to owners where appropriate.

• Maintain grooming equipment and ensure the mobile unit is kept clean, organised and ready for daily appointments.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dog grooming is essential.

• A genuine passion for animals and their welfare.

• Confidence handling dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• A reliable, organised and professional approach to work.

• Ability to work independently and manage appointments efficiently.

• Full, clean driving licence.

• Flexibility to travel to customer locations as required.
