    Role: Quality Control Technician FTC

    Purpose
    Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, the Quality Control Technician will be responsible for evaluating and reporting on technical and quality metrics to ensure that products consistently meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Carry out, record, and report on quality assurance checks from incoming raw materials through to finished products.
    • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and provide timely feedback to production teams.
    • Collaborate with production staff, process engineers, and supervisors to identify and resolve quality issues, including the implementation of corrective actions.
    • Perform product testing, input data into quality systems, and analyse results to confirm compliance with internal and external standards.
    • Provide support for research, development, and innovation projects, including planning, testing, and reporting.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to drive performance excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Document non-compliance issues and ensure they are tracked and resolved.
    • Assist with technical administration tasks within quality management systems.
    • Apply 6S principles to maintain a safe and organised work environment.
    • Support environmental monitoring activities, including water testing.
    • Contribute to the improvement of product guidelines, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
    • Assist with external product testing requirements for new developments.
    • Ensure that testing, measuring, and monitoring equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
    • Participate in internal audits as part of the integrated management system.
    • Promote a culture of quality across the organisation.
    • Deliver quality-related training to operations teams when required.

    Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

    • A third-level qualification in a relevant science or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
    • Proven experience working within a quality control function.
    • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work independently.
    • Proficient IT skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Creativity, flexibility, and strong analytical ability.
    • Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule, including days and evenings.
    • Flexibility to work across different sites as required.
