The opportunity
Take a leading role in geotechnical design and advisory work across infrastructure, commercial, industrial, and development sectors. You'll manage project delivery, budgets, and client interactions while contributing to high-profile national and international schemes and mentoring junior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical design and construction support for major infrastructure and commercial projects.
- Deliver geotechnical solutions for national Irish infrastructure (metro, rail, national roads).
- Provide expert geotechnical input for educational, pharmaceutical, industrial, and commercial developments.
- Manage project delivery, budgets, and client relationships to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Support expert witness work and mentor junior engineers.
Skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with 6+ years' post-graduate geotechnical experience.
- Post-graduate qualification in Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Strong technical expertise in deep excavations, foundations, earthworks, and slope stability; proficient in numerical analysis and GIS.
- Proven experience managing and interpreting complex ground investigation contracts.
- Excellent communication, report-writing, and commercial acumen.
- Commitment to CPD, ideally working towards (or holding) Chartered status.
