Mid level UX Research opportunity!
6 month daily rate contract
Fully remote but must be based in Ireland
We are looking for a UX Researcher to support the creation of user-centred, high-quality digital products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on research, collaboration with design and product partners and turning insights into practical improvements.
You will plan and conduct research studies that inform product decisions across a portfolio of applications, working closely with UX Design, Product, Engineering and Content teams.
Plan and conduct user research across the product lifecycle, including discovery, concept validation, and evaluative research.
Support evidence-based decision-making by contributing research insights to cross-functional discussions.
Partner closely with UX Designers to ensure research findings are effectively translated into design solutions.
Apply user-centred research processes to help teams iterate and improve products over multiple sprint cycles.
Use both qualitative and quantitative data to support findings and highlight key patterns, behaviours, and opportunities.
Gather and synthesise insights to build a strong understanding of user needs, behaviours, and workflows.
Contribute to research into market context and competitor products to inform product direction.
Collaborate with Product and UX teams to ensure user needs are reflected in product priorities and outcomes.
Help define research questions and select appropriate methods aligned to product goals.
Conduct a range of research activities, such as usability testing, prototype testing, task analysis, interviews, and surveys.
Support recruitment planning and coordination in partnership with ResearchOps or relevant stakeholders.
Clearly communicate research findings through presentations, reports, and informal readouts.
Share insights in a way that is actionable and accessible for a range of audiences.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate research insights into product development.
Advocate for user-centred thinking and help build shared understanding of user needs.
Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to promote UX research best practices.
Build positive working relationships with stakeholders and contribute to alignment on user needs and product goals.
3-5 years of experience conducting UX or user research in a product development environment.
Experience contributing to complex research projects using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods.
Strong collaboration skills, with experience working alongside Product, Design, and Engineering partners.
Comfortable presenting research findings and influencing decisions through evidence.
Experience working in agile environments and using issue-tracking or project management tools.
A portfolio of case studies demonstrating research impact on digital products.
Some understanding of technical constraints and what is feasible from a front-end or engineering perspective.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect detailed insights to the bigger picture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine curiosity about users and how they work.
