Morgan McKinley are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join an expanding building materials provider. This is a permanent role based in Dublin.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, improving logistics efficiency, and ensuring timely delivery of products. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational performance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitor and manage end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, production, and distribution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues promptly.
- Support demand forecasting by analyzing historical sales data and market trends.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking, ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuous operations.
- Identify and implement process optimization opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance supply chain performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts, and transactions.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to optimise working capital and efficiency.
Key requirements:
- 4+ years' experience in supply chain management with a strong knowledge of supply chain processes and procurement best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes including procurement, demand planning, and logistics.
- Proficiency in supply chain tools and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
