Fantastic opportunity for a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join a leading non-profit organisation on a full-time contract basis in Dublin City Centre as a Statutory Accountant - Hybrid working. You'll support the finance team during a busy period, bringing your expertise to the role.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a Statutory, Financial, or Management Accountant. You should be highly organised, with strong IT skills and experience in the non-profit, public sector, or industry.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a great chance to enhance your skills temporarily or for those between career breaks or travels. You'll join an organisation that makes a meaningful impact and be part of a fantastic team contributing to important work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month-end closing process, including reconciling balance sheets and preparing monthly management accounts and reports for presentation to the board.
- Collaborate on producing statutory financial statements and related notes, working alongside the Director of Finance & Operations.
- Prepare comprehensive audit documentation and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Handle various financial responsibilities, such as managing accounts payable and updating the chart of accounts as needed.
- Other ad hoc as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- Fully or Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA).
- Industry experience preferred; non-profit background is a plus but not essential.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Skilled at simplifying financial information and effectively communicating it to team members who may not have a finance background.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, staying organised and consistently meeting deadlines.
