Job Title: Site Engineer

Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Site Engineer will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of all engineering aspects throughout the project lifecycle. You will oversee site operations to ensure high-quality workmanship, compliance with building regulations, and adherence to general and specific project specifications. Working closely with site personnel, subcontractors, and design teams, you will play a key role in delivering projects to the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting-Out & Surveys: Execute accurate setting-out from engineers' drawings, complete site surveys, and produce detailed as-built drawings.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret construction drawings for layouts, material callouts, and quantity take-offs.
- On-Site Coordination: Work collaboratively with subcontractors and the general workforce to maintain smooth daily operations.
- Programme & Planning: Plan engineering tasks efficiently to ensure all project milestones and programme targets are met.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively with client representatives, design team members, and external stakeholders as required.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure all works strictly comply with site Health and Safety regulations and meet the company's high-quality standards.
- Resource Management: Handle the ordering, delivery, and management of materials on site.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, thorough, and up-to-date site records and documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, alongside strong proficiency in site IT software and tools.
- Drive: Self-motivated with a high level of accountability regarding safety, quality, and project deadlines.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Licensing: Full, clean driving licence.
