Product Owner - Contract

📍 Dublin (Hybrid) | 📅 6-month daily rate contract (view to extend)

We're working with a leading financial services organisation who are looking to bring in an experienced Product Owner to join a cross-functional team delivering key software initiatives in a complex, enterprise environment.

You'll act as the link between business stakeholders and engineering, owning the backlog and ensuring features are clearly defined, prioritised, and delivered to a high standard.

The Role

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it's aligned to business goals
• Define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
• Act as the main point of contact for product-related queries
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth, high-quality delivery
• Ensure solutions meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements
• Support delivery across multiple workstreams in a complex environment
• Contribute to documentation, design, and some architectural discussions

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in a complex or enterprise environment
• Strong experience working in Agile teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable working closely with engineering teams on technical delivery
• Experience managing and prioritising backlogs effectively
• Financial services experience is a strong plus
• Payments or transaction-based systems experience would be ideal
