We are seeking a Contract Project Manager to lead GMP Laboratory Systems projects through the full lifecycle from scoping and initiation to commissioning and closeout. You will manage a portfolio of projects including lab instrumentation, data platforms, and integrated IT/AIT components within a high-growth biopharma environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Lead small-to-medium projects (and support major strategic initiatives) focusing on benchtop equipment, analytical technology upgrades, and facility modifications.
- Lifecycle Management: Execute projects following strict stage-gate principles and Good Engineering Practices (GEP).
- Planning and Scheduling: use planning tools to hold a complex project on schedule and coordinate parallel activities. Coordinate with facilities, EHS, QA, etc. Manage external factors such as planning and inspections
- Financial Control: Manage project budgets, procurement, and cash flow (using SAP) to ensure delivery within financial targets.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with QC, QA, IT, and Validation teams to ensure projects are compliant, safe, and "future-ready."
- Risk & Planning: Develop detailed execution plans and risk mitigation strategies to prevent operational interruptions.
Skill & Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5-7 years of Project Management/Engineering experience in a Biologics or Pharma GMP environment.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools, MS Office, and ideally SAP.
- Strong stakeholder management, excellent communication, and a proven track record of managing contractors and cross-functional teams safely and on schedule.
