Job Description:
Morgan McKinley are working with a leading supplier of heating and plumbing products, committed to providing high-quality solutions to contractors and engineers across Ireland. We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Estimator / Engineer to join their team and play a key role in growing their business.
Role Overview:
The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with mechanical engineers and consultants to ensure Ecopipe products are specified on projects, both large and small. This role also involves reviewing specifications from plumbing contractors and providing accurate quotations for heating and plumbing products supplied by them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with mechanical engineers to promote products.
- Review specifications from plumbing contractors and provide timely, accurate quotes.
- Support the sales team by identifying opportunities for product specification on new projects.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Ensure all quotes and proposals are aligned with company pricing, policies, and profit margins.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in mechanical estimation, heating, or plumbing preferred.
- Mechanical or heating/plumbing trade experience considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of heating and plumbing products including heatpumps and project specifications.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimation software is a plus.
