    About the job

    The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role ensures equipment reliability, compliance with GMP standards, and minimal production downtime. The technician will use PEMAC CMMS to manage maintenance tasks, record work orders, and support preventative maintenance programs.

    Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

    • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.

    • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in motors, drives, control panels, instrumentation, and automation systems.

    • Support maintenance of PLC-controlled equipment and associated electrical components.

    • Conduct inspections, testing, and calibration of electrical systems.

    Preventative Maintenance

    • Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks as assigned through PEMAC CMMS.

    • Record work completed, parts used, and observations in the CMMS system.

    • Assist in developing and improving preventative maintenance schedules.

    CMMS & Documentation

    • Use PEMAC CMMS to:

    • Receive and complete work orders

    • Log maintenance activities

    • Track equipment history

    • Record spare parts usage

    • Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with pharmaceutical GMP requirements.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Education

    • Electrical Engineering qualification, NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

    Experience

    • 3+ years experience in an industrial maintenance environment.

    • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.

    • Experience using a CMMS system (preferably PEMAC CMMS).
