The Opportunity
Are you a commercially astute HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, down-to-earth environment? Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Manager to lead their people function.
This is a pivotal role within a family-run SME that is currently undergoing significant investment and growth. You will succeed a long-standing HR Manager, inheriting a stable department while being tasked with modernizing systems and driving a 5-year strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Partner directly with the Managing Director and Board to align the people strategy with commercial goals.
- System Implementation: Lead a business-critical project to roll out a new, user-friendly Workforce Planning and HR system, managing the change across line managers.
- Team Management: Mentor and lead a HR team of two.
- Employee Relations & Culture: Act as a firm but personable advisor on complex ER matters, maintaining a positive, multicultural workplace culture built on accountability.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure best-in-class standards across Irish employment law, gender pay gap reporting, and health & safety.
- Hands-on Operations: While strategic, you are happy to "roll up your sleeves," managing everything from high-level budget negotiations to authorizing timesheets and day-to-day HR tasks when required.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Experience in a senior HR role, ideally within a warehouse, factory, or fast-paced retail environment.
- Commercial Acumen: You don't just know legislation; you understand numbers. You can identify risk, provide options to directors, and argue the ROI on HR initiatives.
- Personality: You are down-to-earth, adaptable, and capable of building rapport everywhere from the factory floor to the boardroom.
- Qualifications: Degree-qualified in HR, Employment Law, or a related field. CIPD membership is essential.
- Technical Savvy: Experience with Workforce Planning (WFP) or clock-in systems is a distinct advantage.
Why Join?
- Autonomy: This is a high-visibility role where you will be the primary advisor to the directors.
- Stability & Growth: Join a well-established company with a legacy in this role and an exciting 5-year expansion plan.
To Apply: If you are a robust HR leader looking for a role that balances strategy with operational excellence, we want to hear from you.
