We are seeking an experienced Head of Cybersecurity Engagement & Policy to lead strategic engagement, policy analysis and stakeholder management across a complex cybersecurity and resilience environment.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can operate confidently at the intersection of cybersecurity, regulation, public policy and stakeholder engagement, providing strategic insight while building and leading a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
You will engage with regulated organisations, government departments, national and international authorities, industry representatives and cybersecurity working groups. You will also play a key role in monitoring and shaping the development of cybersecurity and resilience policy and legislation.
As Head of Cybersecurity Engagement & Policy, you will:
Lead and manage engagement with organisations subject to cybersecurity and resilience regulatory requirements.
Develop strong relationships with national and international authorities, government bodies, industry stakeholders and other key partners.
Represent the organisation in senior-level national and international cybersecurity and resilience forums and working groups.
Lead awareness programmes, events and stakeholder communications to ensure organisations understand their regulatory responsibilities and available guidance.
Lead the analysis and review of cybersecurity and resilience legislation, regulatory developments and policy proposals.
Provide strategic advice and insight on the evolving cybersecurity landscape and its implications for regulation and resilience.
Contribute to the development of cybersecurity and resilience policy and legislation at national and international level.
Build, develop and manage a multidisciplinary team of expert advisors and specialists.
Lead the development and delivery of major cybersecurity and resilience engagement programmes.
Develop and manage public consultations and related stakeholder engagement activities.
Provide senior-level representation to executive, board and other high-level stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced senior professional who combines strategic leadership, cybersecurity or technology expertise, policy capability and exceptional stakeholder-management skills.
You will have:
An honours degree or equivalent higher-education qualification in cybersecurity, science, technology, engineering or another relevant discipline, or significant relevant senior-level professional experience.
Proven experience in a senior role involving stakeholder engagement, policy analysis or both, ideally within cybersecurity, technology, regulation or a related field.
Demonstrable experience leading, developing and managing multidisciplinary teams, including responsibility for people and budgets.
Experience representing an organisation at senior executive, board, C-suite or equivalent level.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong public-speaking and presentation experience, with the confidence to represent an organisation at high-profile events and forums.
Significant experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder engagement programmes.
Demonstrable experience and capability in policy analysis within either public- or private-sector environments.
It would be advantageous to have:
A master's degree or equivalent qualification in law, science, technology, engineering, data analytics or another relevant discipline, and/or a recognised cybersecurity leadership qualification.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and resilience legislation and regulatory frameworks at national and international level.
Experience working within a regulatory or regulated environment, particularly across digital infrastructure, digital services, ICT, technology or other critical sectors.
Experience engaging at senior level with government departments, international institutions, regulators or equivalent bodies.
Experience leading large-scale regulatory, policy or organisational initiatives.
Experience developing public consultations or analysing and responding to consultation submissions.
Experience operating across complex national and international stakeholder environments.
