    Head of Company Secretariat - Financial Services (Dublin, Hybrid)

    Overview:

    A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Company Secretarial Manager to lead a small team and provide corporate governance and company secretarial support across multiple jurisdictions in Europe, including Ireland, the UK, and Switzerland.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Company Secretary to join a dynamic multinational environment with European headquarters based in Dublin. You will play a key leadership role within the legal and governance function, interacting directly with senior stakeholders across the organisation's European operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a team of two company secretarial professionals.
    • Provide high-level company secretarial support for regulated and unregulated entities across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Act as a key advisor on corporate governance and regulatory matters, particularly for Irish regulated entities.
    • Organise, attend, and draft detailed minutes for board and committee meetings.
    • Manage the annual board and governance calendar, including scheduling and agenda planning.
    • Maintain action logs and ensure follow-up with responsible executives to meet governance obligations.
    • Ensure corporate records are maintained accurately and up-to-date using governance systems such as GEMS.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams internationally to support the preparation and distribution of board and committee papers.

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

    • Chartered Governance Institute qualification (ICSA/CGI) is essential.
    • Honours degree or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience in an Irish company secretarial role, including board and committee support.
    • At least 3 years of experience in a financial services environment, preferably insurance.
    • Strong knowledge of Irish corporate governance requirements and Central Bank of Ireland regulations.
    • Demonstrated people management and leadership experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience using GEMS, Blueprint, or similar company secretarial systems.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Calm and logical approach under pressure.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to build strong relationships across business functions and jurisdictions.
    • Proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
