Financial Controller

We are working with a leading international financial services organisation to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to join their Dublin-based finance team.
This role sits within a highly regulated environment and offers broad exposure across financial control, statutory reporting, regulatory submissions, and stakeholder engagement within a multi-entity structure.
The Role

Report directly into the Finance Team Manager

Take ownership of end-to-end financial control and month-end close across multiple regulated entities

Prepare and review statutory financial statements under IFRS / Irish & UK GAAP

Own regulatory reporting and submissions to the Central Bank of Ireland and UK regulators

Manage external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors and advisors

Deliver management reporting, FP&A insights, variance analysis, and KPI reporting

Oversee intercompany accounting, cost allocation, and group recharges

Ensure strong governance, internal controls, and compliance frameworks are maintained

Drive process improvement, automation, and finance transformation initiatives

Partner with senior stakeholders to support decision-making and business performance
Please note: this role has no direct people management responsibility, but works closely with a wider finance team.
The Ideal Candidate

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience

Background in regulated financial services (banking, funds, asset management, or similar)

Proven experience across financial control, audits, and regulatory reporting

Strong technical accounting and reporting skillset with commercial awareness

Comfortable working in a hands-on, delivery-focused role

Systems-savvy, with experience using ERP and reporting tools

Detail-oriented, proactive, and confident engaging with senior stakeholders
