Financial Accountant - Dublin (Permanent)

We're partnering with a well-established company in the transport sector to hire a recently qualified accountant for a Financial Accountant role based in South Dublin. The Role
The Financial Accountant will play a key role in the finance team, supporting the Finance Director in delivering accurate financial reporting and providing insights that drive decision-making. You'll be responsible for statutory compliance, month-end processes, and reporting, while also gaining exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements in line with accounting standards

• Support with internal and external audit requirements

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting, analysing variances and highlighting risks or opportunities

• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support commercial decisions

• Complete reconciliations, journal entries, and other month-end activities

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory obligations

• Partner with stakeholders across the business to support efficiency and deliver on budget targets

About You

• Newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

• Strong technical grounding with excellent attention to detail

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability

• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders

• Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with accounting systems

• Keen to learn, develop, and take on new challenges in a fast-moving environment
