Electrical Design Engineer

Involved in a major infrastructure project in north Dublin, this role is responsible for the design and delivery of safe, compliant and cost-effective electrical systems from concept through to handover, in coordination with a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, earthing, protection, controls and associated systems for a large infrastructure project.​
• Prepare calculations, single-line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules and layout drawings using relevant design software.​
• Produce technical specifications, reports and tender documentation, and assist in evaluating supplier and contractor proposals.​
• Ensure designs comply with Irish and European standards, utility requirements and applicable regulations.​
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical and project management teams to integrate electrical systems into the overall design.​

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent).​
• 5+ years' electrical design experience, ideally on infrastructure, utilities or large-scale construction projects.​
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and electrical design/lighting calculation software.​
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and dealing with contractors and clients.​
