Data Scientist - Contract

We are currently partnering with a client who is hiring a Data Scientist for an LTD / Daily Rate contract role. This position is ideal for someone with strong experience in data science, stakeholder engagement, and delivering insights that support business goals.

Please note this role will require ad-hoc onsite attendance in Cork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and automate the extraction of structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Clean, preprocess, and prepare data for analysis and modeling.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Design and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms to address business challenges.
• Present analytical findings using effective data visualization techniques.
• Translate data-driven insights into strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a Data Science or related role.
• Proven expertise in building and deploying machine learning models.
• Strong programming skills in Python (or similar) for data analysis and modeling.
• Proficient in SQL and working with large databases.
• Solid grasp of machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, classification, regression, neural networks).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
