Job Summary
Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Dublin City Centre
Salary: €35,000 - €38,000 + Benefits (Pension & Healthcare)
Working Arrangements: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
- Reconcile supplier statements and address discrepancies
- Manage supplier queries effectively
- Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Support in issuing and tracking invoices
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables
- Prepare monthly AR reports
- General Ledger and Bank Reconciliations:
- Assist in bank reconciliations and month-end processes
- Prepare and post journal entries as needed
- Support with maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Other Duties:
- Assist with monthly reporting and financial analysis
- Support in year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Candidate Requirements
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
- Pursuing or interested in pursuing a relevant qualification in accounting (e.g., IATI, ACCA, ACA, or similar)
- Strong MS Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Sage, or QuickBooks)
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
