About the job
We are partnering with a well-established international services organisation to recruit a General Ledger Accountant to join their Dublin-based finance team.
This is a hands-on role within a busy finance function, offering strong exposure to month-end, balance sheet ownership, and financial reporting within a multi-entity environment.
The Role

Take ownership of general ledger accounting across multiple entities

Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments, and month-end adjustments

Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items

Support the month-end and year-end close processes to tight deadlines

Assist with management accounts preparation and financial reporting

Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to queries

Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies

Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function
The Ideal Candidate

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

Strong general ledger and month-end experience in an industry or shared services environment

Solid understanding of balance sheet control and reconciliations

Experience working in a multi-entity or high-volume environment

Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems

Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven role

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
