Our client, a prominent global organisation, is urgently looking for a temporary Accounts Receivable Specialist for a 6-9 month contract. This is a key role within their finance team, focused on the European region, offering significant regional interaction and the potential for increased responsibilities.
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll be at the heart of finance activities for our client's European operations. You'll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate receipt and matching of customer payments, resolving financial queries, and diligently documenting and actioning instances where payments are overdue. This is a fast-paced, multifaceted environment where your initiative and language skills will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively manage customer accounts to prevent payments from becoming overdue.
- Address Accounts Receivable issues promptly and escalate as needed.
- Conduct statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Effectively manage and follow up on overdue customer payments.
- Resolve discrepancies through diligent investigation with banks, business units, and customer contacts.
- Handle daily order release activities efficiently.
- Prepare and analyse key metrics reports.
- Support escalations to the Credit Team.
- Provide outstanding customer service to both external clients and internal teams, including Credit Managers, the Credit Team, Cash Applications, and Order Management.
- Participate in crucial month-end financial activities.
- Ensure all activities are completed in strict accordance with SOX requirements.
- Provide collections cover for multiple regions as required.
Key Requirements
- 3 years' Accounts Receivable experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. (preferably an SSC environment)
- Third level qualification is essential
- Relevant finance qualification is a distinct advantage but not essential
- Fluency in English in both spoken and written
- Second European language essential - German and Spanish highly sought
- Previous experience with reporting tools, similar to Tableau, is highly desired.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
- Experience with SAP is desired.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
