Our manufacturing client who specialises in engineered solutions for the pharmaceutical industry are looking for an experienced engineer/salesperson to join their team as a Technical Sales Engineer.
Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer (Junior/Mid-Level)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Carrigaline, Co. Cork
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Role Responsibilities:
- Sell technical solutions to customers in the pharmaceutical industry both domestically and internationally
- Support their existing client base with technical solutions from their established product line.
- Generate quotations and any relevant supporting material that will help guide the client through the buying decision.
- Work alongside an experienced Technical Sales team that will provide on-going support and training on a day-to-day basis for delivery of this role.
- Make outbound follow-up calls to clients
- Tracking the status of enquiries
- Support with trade shows, exhibits and other events
- Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales;
- Source new opportunities through client site visits.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients.
Role Requirements:
- Third level education in a Mechanical Engineering or similar field would be a distinct advantage. Technical or industrial background will also be considered.
- High degree of Technical aptitude required
- Sales experience in a B2B setting a distinct advantage
- Self-motivated and driven, with a competitive edge and who can work autonomously.
- Manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft suite of products, in particular Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Familiarity with CRM, specifically Salesforce platform, an advantage
- Must have a full clean driver's license
