Technical Internal Sales - Pumps & Vacuum Division

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Internal Sales professional to join a busy and growing team within a specialist engineering solutions business. This role will support customers across the Irish and UK markets within the Pumps and Vacuum product division, providing technical expertise and commercial solutions.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering technical and commercial support to both existing and prospective customers. Working closely with the operations and external sales teams, this position involves evaluating customer requirements, preparing tailored quotations, and offering expert advice on product selection and application solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate, timely technical and commercial support for pump and vacuum equipment, including centrifugal, positive displacement, magdrive, and vacuum pumps, as well as heat exchangers.
Evaluate customer enquiries and develop comprehensive, bespoke quotations aligned to technical requirements and commercial terms.
Offer expert guidance to customers, addressing product-related queries and application-specific challenges.
Contribute to the achievement of personal, departmental, and company-wide performance targets.
Maintain high standards of quality and compliance with ISO 9000 and Health & Safety procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department and wider business.
Manage workload efficiently, ensuring deadlines and team goals are consistently met.
Skills and Experience Required:
Previous experience in a technical sales, applications, or customer support role, ideally within the process, mechanical, or instrumentation industries.
A strong understanding of engineering principles and product applications is essential.
Familiarity with pump and vacuum technologies and associated systems is highly desirable.
Strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to engage effectively with customers and suppliers.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
A proactive, adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
