Senior Payroll Support Analyst (EMEA & Payroll Transitions)
My client, a leading multinational in Cork are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Payroll Support Analyst to support complex EMEA payroll operations and payroll transition initiatives. This role will play a key part in managing multi-country payrolls, partnering with external payroll providers, and supporting payroll migrations, stabilisation, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will bring strong regional payroll knowledge, hands-on transition experience, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end payroll processing across EMEA, ensuring accurate and timely payments and statutory filings.
- Act as a key contact during payroll transitions, including onboarding and managing relationships with external payroll providers and supporting parallel runs and go-live activities.
- Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data including new hires, terminations, variable pay, and compensation changes.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll journals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial reporting requirements.
- Produce, analyse, and interpret payroll reports for internal stakeholders, Finance, and external providers.
- Serve as a payroll subject matter expert, resolving complex queries and supporting escalations across regions.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with EMEA labour laws, tax regulations, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
- Partner closely with Finance, Employee Services, HR, and third-party vendors to improve payroll processes and drive standardisation.
- Support payroll projects including provider transitions, system implementations and process automation.
- Assist with internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement and risk mitigation efforts.
Requirements:
- 4+ years payroll experience, with a strong focus on EMEA payroll and multinational environments.
- Strong working knowledge of EMEA payroll legislation and experience working with external payroll providers.
- Demonstrated experience supporting payroll transitions, provider changes, or payroll stabilisation projects.
- Proven experience with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and reconciliation capabilities.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across regional and global teams.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential payroll data.
