Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee public realm and civil projects from tender to completion, with duties including:
- Tendering & Pricing: Assisting with pricing work and preparing competitive tenders for local authority and semi-state contracts.
- Safety & Compliance: Drafting and overseeing Health & Safety documentation (RAMS, Safety Statements, etc.) to maintain high safety standards.
- Procurement & Logistics: Ordering materials and coordinating plant, machinery, and equipment for site operations.
- Planning & Scheduling: Developing detailed project schedules, tracking timelines, and ensuring milestones are met on budget.
- Site Management & Crew Setup: Establishing sites, managing sub-contractors, and helping set up direct labor crews on site for successful execution.
- Stakeholder Management: Acting as the primary point of contact for local councils, semi-state bodies, engineers, and clients.
The Ideal Candidate
- Background: Proven track record in civil engineering (public realm, groundworks, utilities, or infrastructure experience is preferred).
- Experience: Strong background as a Civil Project Manager, Site Foreman,Site Agent, or Senior Engineer looking to step up.
- Skills: Solid understanding of public works contracts, safety regulations, and project scheduling.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, commercially aware, and an effective leader capable of managing crews and client relationships.
- Mobility: Full driving license (covering projects across Munster).
