As a key member of the Engineering Project Delivery Team, this contract position focuses on executing strategic, multi-disciplinary capital projects.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of strategic Engineering projects, ensuring they are on time, on budget, and meet all project and business Safety & Quality goals.
- Scope new projects, estimate costs, secure capital approval, and effectively manage project budgets.
- Accountable for project schedules, providing clear progress reports and robust Risk Management.
- Manage project resources efficiently.
- Coordinate project interfaces with other internal departments and projects, as well as with third parties, including suppliers, customers, and service providers.
- Oversee Design, Construction, Commissioning, and Qualification activities throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with GDP (Good Documentation Practices) requirements.
- Organise and coordinate project meetings and appointments effectively.
- Conduct retrospective project performance reviews against goals, documenting lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Participate in and lead cross-functional teams as necessary, fostering excellent interdepartmental relationships across the company.
- Provide strong leadership to project teams, guiding them to successful outcomes
- Skills, Attributes & Experience :
- Third level qualification in Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Science.
- 8+years experience in industry of which not less than 3 years in pharma/medical device industry & 3 years in a project management role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of delivering engineering projects within a GMP regulated environment.
- API manufacturing experience
- Qualification in Project Management
- 6-Sigma/Kepner-Tregoe or similar problem solving/decision making methodology training
