Project Equipment Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Project Equipment Engineer to join a leading global medical technology organization during an exciting phase of site expansion. This role is focused on supporting the integration and commissioning of high-volume, automated production lines within a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• New Equipment Integration: Support the end-to-end rollout of bespoke automated manufacturing lines, from initial vendor engagement to on-site installation.
• Documentation & Compliance: Manage and execute technical documentation, including equipment inspections, incoming hardware verification, and formal validation testing protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Vendor Liaison: Partner with international equipment vendors to ensure project milestones are met. This includes periodic travel (1-2 times per year) to vendor sites in Germany and Switzerland for factory acceptance testing or project reviews.
• Technical Problem Solving: Act as a self-reliant technical resource to troubleshoot issues arising during the equipment lifecycle and project rollout.
• Cross-Functional Support: Provide "mop-up" project support where required-this includes everything from coordinating logistics/shipping with vendors to assisting with hands-on floor tasks to keep project timelines on track.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, or related discipline) is essential.
• Experience Level: Ideally 1-5 years of experience. This role is specifically designed for an individual who wants to be "molded" and trained within a world-class manufacturing environment.
• Technical Background: Previous experience working on equipment-based projects. Exposure to service-based engineering or high-volume automation is a distinct advantage.
• Soft Skills: An engaging, "can-do" attitude is vital. You must be open-minded, willing to pick up varied tasks to support the team, and eager to learn the complexities of medical device manufacturing.
• Self-Reliance: Ability to work through technical challenges independently while knowing when to escalate to senior stakeholders.
