Partner with R&D and Manufacturing to design, build, and scale high-capability manufacturing processes for medical devices. Lead multiple automation-focused projects, supporting equipment and process development from concept through production launch.
Develop and optimize robust, high-yield manufacturing processes.
Drive equipment and technology performance to enable reliable process transfer to manufacturing.
Collaborate with R&D to industrialize new device designs and support validated design transfer.
Lead supplier engagement for automated equipment design, build, and onsite commissioning.
Design new equipment and upgrade existing systems to support NPIs.
Author and execute process and equipment validations/qualifications.
Support documentation across development and manufacturing phases.
Deliver continuous process and quality improvements.
Partner cross-functionally to support current processes and future technology needs.
Build and sustain process expertise at the Cork site.
Commission new microcatheter manufacturing technologies, ramp production, and identify development opportunities.
Assess new equipment, processes, and materials with EHS to minimize environmental impact.
Level 8 degree in Engineering or Science (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production, or similar).
3+ years' experience in the medical device industry.
Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.
Experience in at least one of the following:
Injection moulding
Process development and characterization
Process troubleshooting
Process or equipment validation
DMAIC / continuous improvement
New product introduction (NPI)
