We are recruiting for a Payroll Specialist on behalf of our client, a leading organisation based in Little Island, Cork. The role offers a hybrid work model and presents a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional with strong Irish payroll experience to manage the end-to-end payroll process.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll for all employees. Your responsibilities will include:
Collating and reviewing payroll information from various business units, ensuring all data is accurate before processing
Processing weekly payroll using Sage Payroll
Preparing bank files for upload and generating detailed payroll reports for management
Creating and posting weekly payroll journals to the accounting package
Maintaining the employee master file and database
Managing the final payroll for all leavers
Dealing with queries from employees, depot managers, and accountants with professionalism and clarity
Completing salary certificates and other necessary forms for employees
Performing ad hoc reports and analysis as required
Collaborating effectively as part of a supportive payroll team
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in end-to-end Irish payroll and possess the following key competencies:
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
An extremely high level of attention to detail and accuracy
A high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong written and spoken English
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
A strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks
