Patient Liaison & Front of House Coordinator
€34,000 | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Cork | Private Healthcare Clinic
Are you an experienced administrator or customer service professional who takes genuine pride in delivering an exceptional experience?
We are looking for a professional, organised and compassionate Patient Liaison & Front of House Coordinator to join our growing private healthcare clinic in Cork.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract at €34,000 per annum, with strong potential for a permanent position thereafter for the right person.
This is a patient-facing role for someone who understands that exceptional service is about much more than answering a phone or managing a diary. You will be responsible for making patients feel welcomed, reassured and genuinely looked after from their first contact with us through to their treatment and follow-up care.
You will work closely with consultants, clinical teams and external healthcare providers, becoming an important part of the smooth running of the clinic.
This role would suit someone who:
- Has previous experience in administration, reception, customer service or a patient-facing environment
- Is confident, polished and professional when dealing with patients and healthcare professionals
- Is highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes ownership of their work
- Enjoys building positive relationships and providing a genuinely high level of service
- Is comfortable working in a busy environment where no two days are exactly the same
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and computer-based systems
- Understands the importance of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism
- Can work independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team
Healthcare experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a central role in the day-to-day patient journey, including:
- Providing a warm, professional and reassuring welcome to patients and visitors
- Acting as the first point of contact for patients, GPs and healthcare professionals by telephone, email and patient portal
- Managing appointments, consultations and procedures
- Registering new patients and maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Preparing clinic lists, patient documentation and correspondence for consultants and clinical teams
- Supporting consultants with secretarial and administrative requirements
- Processing payments, invoices and general administrative tasks accurately
- Liaising with hospitals and external healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
- Supporting the smooth and efficient running of the clinic
- Ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and healthcare requirements at all times
- Helping to deliver a consistently excellent patient experience
Essential Requirements
Please only apply if you meet the following requirements:
- You must already be based in Cork or within a reasonable commuting distance 5 days per week
- You must have a full driving licence and your own car - there are no suitable public transport links to the clinic, so access to your own transport is essential
- Ideally, you will be available to start within one month or sooner
