A leading global specialized nutrition and food manufacturing organisation is investing in a major greenfield manufacturing facility in Cork, incorporating advanced aseptic, high-hygiene and automated packaging technologies.
We are looking for two Packaging Engineers to join the project team and take technical ownership of key packaging workstreams through installation, commissioning, start-up and operational readiness.
1. Packaging Engineer - Fillers
Own the technical execution of aseptic/ESL filling systems, including filler/closer, cap and container sterilisation, capping/sealing and associated interfaces. You will lead installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning, qualification, performance testing and start-up, working closely with OEMs, EPCM partners and cross-functional teams.
2. Packaging Engineer - End of Line (EOL)
Own the execution and integration of downstream packaging systems including conveyors, accumulation, checkweighing, vision/inspection, labelling, case/tray packing, palletising, wrapping and automated material-handling interfaces. You will lead installation, commissioning, performance testing and start-up through to operational handover.
Responsibilities
About you
We are interested in engineers from food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, nutrition or other highly regulated manufacturing environments, with experience delivering CAPEX, equipment installation or greenfield/brownfield projects.
For Fillers, relevant experience in aseptic processing/filling, hygienic systems, CIP/SIP, sterilisation, pharmaceutical manufacturing or high-hygiene packaging would be highly valuable.
For EOL, relevant experience with automated packaging lines, conveyors, inspection, labelling, case packing, palletising, robotics or material handling would be highly valuable.
A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Packaging, Food, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline is preferred.
The opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a flagship greenfield investment from the early execution phase, with genuine technical ownership over critical packaging systems and significant exposure to installation, commissioning and start-up.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineering, project and operations teams while helping establish a next-generation specialized nutrition manufacturing facility from the ground up.
