Localisation Engineer (AI & Automation)
6-Month Contract | Cork, Ireland | Hybrid (2-3 Days Onsite)
We are seeking a Localisation Engineer to join a growing team focused on building and scaling AI-powered localisation solutions.
Responsibilities

Automation & AI: Design and maintain Python-based localization automation solutions, integrating LLMs into translation workflows.

Integrations: Build and manage REST API connections between localization platforms (TMS) and internal systems.

Quality & Optimization: Develop automated translation quality frameworks and continuously optimize workflows for scalability, cost, and latency.

Infrastructure & Support: Troubleshoot pipeline issues and maintain core localization infrastructure.

Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product, AI/ML, and Localization teams to establish automation best practices.
Required Experience

Core Engineering: 3+ years in Software/Localization Engineering with strong Python and REST API development skills.

Localization Tech: Solid understanding of localization technologies, workflows, and multilingual content management.

Systems & Ops: Experience building automated workflow integrations within cloud-based or distributed environments.

Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting capabilities and excellent stakeholder communication.
Desirable Experience

Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI-powered apps, and automated translation quality evaluation.

Familiarity with major Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD/DevOps practices.

Deep exposure to internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) best practices.
