IT & Digital Systems Manager

My client is looking for a IT & Digital Systems Manager with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join their organisation in Cork. This is a permanent role.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience managing and holding external IT providers and vendors accountable to SLAs and performance standards.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and audit coordination.
• Demonstrated track record in leading or supporting digital transformation, system upgrades, or technology reviews.
• Experience overseeing IT assets, licensing, procurement processes, and vendor negotiations.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets, optimise costs, and evaluate technology investments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills within cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the internal lead for all technology-related matters, providing oversight and a key escalation point for IT issues.
• Manage and monitor third-party IT providers to ensure service quality, performance, and compliance with agreed standards.
• Maintain IT governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, security standards, and user access controls.
• Oversee IT asset and licence management, including procurement, lifecycle tracking, and cost optimisation.
• Lead cybersecurity oversight activities, including audits, risk assessments, compliance, and staff awareness initiatives.
• Drive technology strategy and digital transformation by identifying opportunities to modernise systems, improve processes, and implement new tools.
