    Head of Quality

    As Head of Quality, you will provide leadership across all aspects of quality assurance, quality control, food safety, laboratory operations, customer compliance, and regulatory standards. You will play a pivotal role in shaping quality culture, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring operational excellence across the manufacturing network.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and develop the overall quality and food safety strategy across multiple dairy manufacturing sites.
    • Provide direction and guidance to site-based quality teams to ensure consistent standards and best practices.
    • Contribute as a key member of the senior management team, supporting broader operational and business objectives.
    • Ensure all sites operate in line with industry-leading food safety and quality requirements.
    • Maintain a strong "right-first-time" manufacturing approach across production operations.
    • Ensure the integrity of the organisation's Quality Management System across the business.
    • Guarantee that all products meet customer specifications and contractual requirements prior to release.
    • Maintain all required accreditations and certifications while ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities and industry standards.
    • Act as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors.

    Candidate Profile

    The successful candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and commercial awareness, alongside a strong track record within a manufacturing environment.

    Key Requirements

    • Degree qualification in Food Science, Science, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum 7 years' leadership experience within food manufacturing, dairy processing, or quality management.
    • Strong expertise in food safety systems and regulatory frameworks.
    • Experience working with recognised standards such as FSSC 22000, BRC, or equivalent.
    • Proven ability to lead multi-site teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated success delivering quality strategy and operational improvements in a manufacturing setting.
    • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
    • Highly organised with strong planning and decision-making capabilities.
