Financial Accountant

Our client in Cork is seeking a Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CPA, ACA, or equivalent) with 2-3 years post-qualification experience to join their dynamic finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and support month-end close processes.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings.
• Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business units to support financial decision-making.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 2-3 years PQE in a similar role, ideally within industry or practice.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Xero, or similar).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage workloads and meet tight deadlines.
