Industrial Electrician / Service Technician

Morgan McKinley is working with a growing engineering services provider in Cork that is expanding its team due to increased demand. We are currently seeking experienced Industrial Electricians or Service Technicians to join their service division, supporting both new installations and ongoing maintenance of overhead lifting equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on overhead cranes, hoist units, and related systems

Respond to breakdowns and troubleshoot issues on-site

Interpret and follow installation and maintenance guidelines from manufacturers

Adhere to health and safety practices, including method statements, risk assessments, and PPE use

Complete accurate service and installation reports

Collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers
-
Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver high levels of service

Engage in ongoing product and technical training
Ideal Candidate Profile:
-
Industrial electrical background, with experience wiring control panels (e.g. isolators, terminals, main switches)

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and documentation

Strong technical knowledge with practical problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or in a team

Background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance preferred

Full, clean driving licence (towing capacity desirable but not essential)

Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and MEWP certification
