Reporting directly to the Environmental Manager, the Environmental Lead will work closely with Site Operations, Sustainability teams to drive and deliver business environmental policies and procedures, maintain site licences and ensure legal compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with Site Management, implement procedures, controls and monitoring to ensure full compliance with the site's Industrial Emissions Licence
- Monitor the performance of the site's wastewater treatment plant and work collaboratively with the Environmental Manager and Site Management to ensure on-going compliance
- Provide advice and support and assist the Site management teams in implementing best practice Environment and Sustainability standards and implement appropriate controls as directed
- Support the closeout of all regulatory and internal audit actions in collaboration with site management, point of contact
- Completion of environmental risk assessments, implement controls, and maintain compliance standards and risk registers
- Ensure any environmental incidents or non-compliance are promptly reported and thoroughly investigated. Identify appropriate corrective and preventative measures and closeout using CI tools
- Maintain Environmental training needs analysis, organise and/or conduct training programmes to the appropriate standard and maintain records
- Work with Site Operations teams to identify Capex requirements and ensure all change is carefully risk assessed and appropriately managed
- Monitor all relevant environmental license parameters, as directed, and take appropriate action to ensure compliance including planning and scheduling of monitoring and testing requirements
- Develop and maintain environmental registers, environmental management plans, waste registers and complete the site's Annual Environment Report and other statutory reporting require

Qualifications:
- Qualification Required: Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline (environmental Science or related discipline)
- 5+ years experience environmental compliance
