My client is looking for a Data Networks & Telecoms Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their organisation in Cork. This is a permanent role.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience supporting enterprise wired and wireless networks, including LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies, VoIP telephony, routing, switching and network security.
- Experience managing third-party suppliers, telecoms providers and service delivery against SLAs.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimisation and system maintenance.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including firewalls, vulnerability management and disaster recovery.
- Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to support end users and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain secure, reliable wired and wireless network infrastructure.
- Manage and support telecommunication services, including VoIP systems and supplier relationships.
- Monitor network performance, resolve incidents and implement improvements to maximise availability.
- Support network security through monitoring, security controls, audits and incident response.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery processes, technical documentation and performance reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver infrastructure projects and provide technical support across the organisation.
