Data Engineer

My client is looking for a Data Engineer with 5 - 7 years of experience. This is a permanent position based in Cork.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using tools like Airflow, Spark etc

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver high-quality data infrastructure

Optimize ETL processes for performance, cost, and reliability

Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across multiple sources

Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

Skills and experience:

3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer

Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language like Python or Scala

Strong experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)

Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data governance

Experience working with large-scale data systems in a production environment
