The Role
As IT/OT Lead - Automation, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all automation, control systems, and IT/OT infrastructure across the new facility. You will act as the single point of accountability for automation and OT systems, working closely with EPCM partners, OEMs, global IT/OT teams, and site engineering.
The client is delivering a major greenfield investment, building a next-generation liquid nutrition facility featuring advanced aseptic processing, high-hygiene design, and state-of-the-art automation.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the digital and automation backbone of a flagship manufacturing site.
This role covers the full lifecycle: design, integration, commissioning, validation, and start-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the IT/OT architecture for the new facility in line with global standards
- Lead integration of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, MES, historians, and industrial networks
- Own end-to-end project delivery including design reviews, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and handover
- Oversee industrial network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, segmentation, firewalls, cybersecurity)
- Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and compliant with global and regulatory standards
- Enable data connectivity for MES, OEE, traceability, and digital manufacturing systems
- Support start-up, troubleshooting, and system stabilisation
- Deliver full documentation, validation, and audit readiness
- Drive continuous improvement and digitalisation initiatives
About You
- Degree in Automation, Engineering, IT/OT, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in automation, IT/OT, or industrial systems
- Strong background in PLC/SCADA/HMI systems and integration
- Experience with industrial networks and IT/OT architecture
- Proven track record delivering CAPEX, greenfield or large-scale projects
- Experience with FAT, SAT, commissioning, and validation
- Knowledge of MES, data systems, or digital manufacturing is a plus
- Familiarity with GMP and regulated environments preferred
