Human Resources Generalist (Fixed-Term Contract - Maternity Cover)
A well-established organisation in the aviation sector is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join its HR team on a specific purpose contract (up to 12 months). This role will support a broad range of HR services across multiple business units during a period of continued growth.
The Role
Reporting to a senior HR lead, this position combines hands-on HR operations with advisory support to managers and employees. It's a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and enjoys delivering practical HR solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day HR support to management and employees

Coordinate onboarding and deliver induction programmes

Advise managers on HR best practice, documentation, and employee matters

Support HR policy development, updates, and communication

Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal procedures

Assist with audits, risk management, and governance processes

Maintain accurate HR data and systems (HRIS)

Contribute to HR projects and process improvement initiatives

Liaise with payroll providers and support payroll inputs

Respond to employee queries in a timely and professional manner

Assist with time and attendance systems, including rostering support
Candidate Profile

Degree in HR, Business, or a related discipline (desirable)

CIPD qualified or working towards accreditation

3-4 years' experience in a generalist HR role

Strong organisational and administrative capabilities

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels

Experience using a HRIS platform

Advanced IT skills (MS Office Suite)

Experience in project planning and delivery
