My client is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their organisation in Shannon. This is a permanent role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve security controls aligned with recognised frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001.
- Manage and optimise Microsoft 365 and Azure security technologies including MFA, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID.
- Identify, investigate, and remediate security risks, vulnerabilities, and cyber incidents
- Support security audits, penetration testing activities, and compliance documentation requirements.
- Administer and support core IT platforms including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and VMware environments.
- Contribute to wider IT operations, system improvements, and end-user support within a hands-on team environment.
Key Skills and Experience
- 4-5 years' experience in IT with cybersecurity as a primary focus.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, CIS, NIST, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, endpoint protection, patch management, identity and access management, and vulnerability remediation
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft security technologies including Defender, Sentinel, Intune, and Entra ID.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements such as GDPR and NIS2
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a practical, delivery-focused approach.
