Our multinational client is seeking an experienced Cost / Stock Accountant to join their growing finance team in a newly created role. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate recording, monitoring and reporting of stock and inventory costs.
This is a hands-on, operational role where you will lead reconciliation and process improvement initiatives, establishing robust systems and controls that ensure stock and cost data are reliable and actionable.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end stock and cost accounting process
Prepare regular reconciliations
Investigating and resolving discrepancies
Organise and oversee periodic physical stock counts
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate valuation of stock items
Prepare monthly reserve and cost analyses
Analyse stock reports to identify trends, slow-moving items or potential obsolescence and recommend actions
Identify and deliver process improvements
Support ERP system upgrades, enhancements, and finance-related implementations
Coordinate with auditors and provide all necessary support during audits
Required Qualifications:
Qualified accountant
2+ years' experience in stock, cost or management accounting (industry experience preferred)
Experience with ERP systems
Proven experience in process improvement, data analysis, and project work
Ability to meet deadlines and deliver key finance outputs
