I am currently working with a leading manufacturer based in South Tipperary who are an employer of choice within the region. They are currently seeking an experienced Logistics and Warehouse Administrator to join their team.

As Logistics and Warehouse Administrator you will be responsible for Sales Order Processing from receipt of Order to delivery along with inputs and amendments to orders on the order processing system. Booking Transport to ensure on time delivery to Customers. Co-ordinate administration in Market Support office. Liaise and support sales offices on a daily basis. Maintain Customer Service. Back Up Shipping Supervisor. Cover Production Planner if required.

The Role:

  • Sales order processing from Receipt of Order to delivery. Issue Confirmations with correct information as required.
  • Prepare daily shipping list for orders ready for next day/week shipment
  • Arranging transport for orders to ensure timely delivery to customers, allocating the stocks and informing the transport companies - ensuring freight costs are controlled and orders delivered using designated costed carriers. Communicating with shipping companies, responding to problems and queries in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Support Sales Offices with accurate information and with all queries re stock deliveries and logistics issues- complete support for sales and marketing offices.
  • Ensure stock is allocated to orders to fulfill shipping schedules.
  • Liaise with Planning scheduler/Co-ordinator re stock/shipping timeline requirements.
  • Check on stock shortages.
  • Assist with other administration functions as may be required from time to time.
  • Back up support for Scheduling/Production Planner
  • Support Warehouse Manager/Shipping Supervisor on an 80%/20% basis
  • Issue reports as required on Orders for shipping and other reports as requested.
  • Prepare and enter Credit Notes as requested by Finance /Sales - e.g. Reversal Invoices. Enter sample requests as required from Sales
  • Develop knowledge and experience of documents required for exports outside the EU
  • Work closely with customer service reporting and analyzing carrier issues/service failures.

The Person:

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • HETAC Level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Interest and knowledge in the Supply Chain, understanding the importance of responding to the customer and supporting sales operations
  • Excellent communication, reporting and interpersonal skills required whom also works as a team player
  • Experience of Syspro/AWM and understanding of the need for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Attention to detail is essential.
