Job Description

Excellent permanent opportunity for a Finance Manager to join a leading organisation in Tipperary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ultimate responsibility for the timely delivery and accurate preparation of Budgets, the Weekly, Monthly and Annual accounts and all associated working papers and reports in accordance with statutory, fiscal and legal requirements and in compliance with group guidelines.
  • Ultimate responsibility for the timely and accurate issue of Audit compliant financial statements and adherence to ALL finance-related statutory requirements.
  • Escalation point for financial stakeholders, e.g. Banks, Auditors, Revenue, EI etc.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts in these areas in conjunction with the Managing Director.
  • Support the Operations and Supply Chain functions of the businesses by allocating resources to key areas such as product costings inventory reconciliations systems developments and cost reduction initiatives
  • Strategically develop the IT policy for the business in line with best practice and budgetary restrictions.
  • Underwrite and communicate all People Management responsibilities as communicated by HR / SLT
  • Lead, develop and mentor the Senior Accountant and Finance team.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant, ideally Big 4 trained with 2 years PQE in a manufacturing environment.
  • People management experience essential.
  • Excellent systems and controls development and implementation experience.
  • A high degree of computer literacy, knowledge of standard Microsoft applications.
  • Ambitious, energetic, and Dynamic with strong interpersonal skill.
  • Approachable and passionate about getting the job done correctly and to target.
  • Ability to embrace, influence, and drive change.
  • Effective time management skills with an ability to work on own initiative.
  • Customer and results focused and be highly committed to providing excellent standard of service.
