Job Description

Great opportunity for a strong Logistics Financial Analyst with a Manufacturing giant based in Kildare, you will work closely with the senior leadership team and department heads

Taking ownership of the financial analysis function for the logistics division, streamlining process, procedures and establishing best practices. This is a pivotal appointment within the organisation and offers the successful candidate a great opportunity in an all-encompassing hands-on role.

This role will suit a candidate with:

  • strong financial analysis skills
  • skilled at working with big data sets, and Power BI or tableau tools or related

Key responsibilities:

  • Ownership of finance process & systems that operate the Corporate Logistics
  • Establishing and streamlining invoicing procedures between Corporate Logistics and the major production centers
  • Development and execution of a state-of-the-art financial reporting system, that suffices the requirements of all internal stakeholders.
  • Coordination and act as single point of contact of all internal and external resources relating to the Corporate Logistics Finance set up, especially corporate finance
  • Weekly and monthly financial reporting on freight and HUB costings to all related stake holders
  • Efficient cross-functional communication; coordination & resolution of operational disruptions (IT outage(s), capacity issues, etc.)
  • Collaboration with Production Center, Sales Center, Customs and Trade compliance, logistics procurement and external logistics / IT Service Provider required

Person Specification and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in business studies, core area finance and controlling highly preferred or freight forwarding agent with a very high degree of finance affinity
  • At least 5-6 years' experience in similar roles in the freight forwarding industry, FMCG, manufacturing chemical or retail industry
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to forge strong working relations
  • Ability to communication financial information to non-finance personnel
  • SAP-Knowledge in FI/CO and Transport Management Systems highly desirable
  • Power BI Tool/ Tableau experience an advantage
  • Team spirit, ability to work under high pressure
